Randolph-Macon College professor Dave Brat says he’s ready for his first general election campaign. The man who upset House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the Seventh District Republican primary plans to focus on the issues that got him this far. Brat (picture is courtesy of his campaign) says he will talk about deficit spending, his opposition to amnesty for illegal aliens, and his fight against President Obama’s health care reform law. He will appear on the November 4th ballot along with Democrat Jack Trammell and Libertarian James Carr. Brat appeared Tuesday on the Schilling Show. It was his first broadcast interview since winning the June 10th primary.
