Arrest Made In Local Stabbing Case

Albemarle Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that happened Thursday night at the Rio Hill Shopping Center. 46-year-old Lawrence Wayne Egnor (pictured) of Charlottesville is charged with malicious wounding. It happened at around 9:30 between the Kroger store and Woodbrook Drive. Police say Egnor and another man got into a fight. The victim was stabbed in the back. He was taken to UVA Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Police say the two men know each other. Egnor is being held without bond.
