A local architect wants to see an underpass replace the city’s Belmont Bridge. Jim Rounsevell is campaigning for an underpass that would resemble the one on Roosevelt Brown Boulevard near UVA. Rounsevell has started a $7800 campaign on kickstarter.com. City Hall (pictured) has had a long-running debate over the best way to replace the crumbling Belmont Bridge. Many city residents had a hostile reaction to one proposal for a replacement bridge. Rounsevell was a recent guest on WINA’s Charlottesville…Right Now with Les Sinclair.
