Albemarle Supervisors To Advertise 80.8 Cents Tax Rate

The Albemarle Supervisors are considering a higher tax rate than what the County Executive has proposed.  The board voted 4-2 Wednesday night to advertise a property tax rate of 80.8 cents for every $100 of assessed value. Jane Dittmar and Ken Boyd voted against that proposal. County Executive Tom Foley had proposed raising the rate to 78.3 cents.
