A prosecutor has explained more details of the Mark Lawrence Weiner case. The sentencing of the Barboursville man who’s been convicted of abduction has been continued, and Albemarle Commonwealth’s Attorney Denise Lunsford has elaborated on information that’s been brought out in court. Lunsford (pictured) says the judge ordered a mental evaluation after she heard from a probation officer about past incidents involving Weiner. Weiner did not face any charges in connection with the earlier incidents. A new sentencing date for Weiner will be set when a new court calendar is drawn up in early August. Lunsford was a Wednesday guest on WINA’s Morning News with Rick and Jane.

Knox’s murder conviction in the 2007 stabbing of her roommate has been reinstated by an Italian court, but the former college exchange student maintains her innocence and vows she won’t willingly go back to Italy.
