Albemarle Changes Procedures For Rural Fires

There will be new procedures for those who respond to fires in the county’s rural areas. Albemarle Fire and Rescue Chief Dan Eggleston (pictured) says this is a response to the fire near Keswick earlier this year that killed a woman and her two young children. Eggleston has told the Daily Progress there will be a standardized procedure for getting water to rural fires. He also says every major fire will have a command team on site to eliminate confusion.
