Acting Mental Health Commissioner To Retire

The acting Virginia mental health commissioner will retire September 1st. John Pezzoli (pictured) says his wife will retire this summer and they’re looking forward to starting a new chapter. The 68-year-old Pezzoli is a former member of the Charlottesville school board. He has served as chief deputy commissioner at the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, and became acting commissioner when James Stewart retired earlier this year.
