AAA: Virginians Traveling Farther During Holiday Season

Triple-A expects more of us to be road warriors during the final weeks of the year. 2.7 million Virginians will drive more than 50 miles for a Christmas or New Year’s destination. Tammy Gobert of Triple-A says a recent downward trend for gas prices makes highway travel more attractive. The organization’s latest survey shows our area’s average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas is $3.12.
