Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo’s life is to be turned into a new TV comedy.

The “Beverly Hills” hitmaker will be the focus of new show “DeTour,” which he will also co-produce with his manager Dan Field.

The series, which has been picked up by Fox executives, will follow the fortunes of a 30-something rock star who walks away from the spotlight.

Cuomo, a big fan of Vipassana meditation, took his first sabbatical in 1995 so he could enroll at Harvard University.

He completed his studies there more than a decade later. His latest hiatus came eight years ago.
