Rare U2 and Velvet Underground recordings are set to hit auction blocks in England and Chicago, Illinois.

The four-song recording of U2 performing live in Holland back in 1980 comes with unreleased photos and a previously unheard 15-minute interview featuring frontman Bono and guitarist The Edge discussing their hopes for the band and attacking American rock music.

The rarity package is expected to go under the hammer at Stockport, England’s Omega Auctions for $1,600 on May 30.

Meanwhile, an early Velvet Underground acetate from 1966, which sold at auction in 2006 for $25,200, is on sale again.

The Scepter Studios recording, which features songs that were later released on the group’s 1967 debut “The Velvet Underground & Nico”, is back up for auction via Chicago store Shuga Records.

Ten percent of the sale will benefit a local animal rights charity.

Legend has it that the band’s one-time mentor/manager Andy Warhol paid for the recording time by giving the studio boss one of his paintings.
