Guns N’ Roses dismisses retirement rumors

Rockers Guns N’ Roses have dismissed rumors suggesting they plan to announce a shock split next month.

Reports hinted the “Sweet Child O’ Mine” hitmakers had decided to part ways at the end of their Las Vegas residency in June because frontman Axl Rose, the only remaining original member, wanted to retire from the music business.

However, the rockers blasted the story in a post on the band’s Facebook.com page, uploading a picture of Rose with the words, “I’m not going anywhere”, and calling the news “BS (bulls***)” in the caption.

The band’s residency at Sin City’s Hard Rock Hotel kicked off on Wednesday.

GNR has previously announced plans to release new music next year.
