Dave Grohl hits the studio with new side project

Dave Grohl has given his Foo Fighters bandmate Taylor Hawkins’ side project a big boost by joining the group in the studio.

The former Nirvana star features on one track on The Birds of Satan’s self-titled debut, which will be released in April.

Foo Fighters and Nirvana guitarist Pat Smear is also a guest on the album, which was reportedly recorded in less than a week.

Joining drummer Hawkins in the new band is Wiley Hodgden and Mick Murphy.
