Boston celebrates Godsmack Day

BOSTON (AP) — Tomorrow is Godsmack Day in Boston.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh will make the declaration in recognition of the band’s Boston roots and long success within the music industry.

Godsmack’s new album, “1000hp,” is out today.

The band’s single of the same name has been among the top three tracks on the Billboard mainstream rock songs chart.
