Rocker Billy Idol has landed a deal to write his memoirs.
The “White Wedding” singer’s “Dancing With Myself” autobiography will be released in October.
In the book, Idol will recount his “remarkable life story” from his “transient childhood to his seminal role in the U.K. punk movement, to his meteoric rise as one of MTV’s first megastars”.
A spokesman says, “He’ll be revealing never-before-told tales of the culture, sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll that colored his experience as he vaulted to the top of the rock kingdom.”
Idol will launch the book project on Thursday at annual book publishing convention BookExpo America in New York before commencing a summer tour.
