Anthrax’s Scott Ian plans autobiography

NEW YORK (AP) — Scott Ian of Anthrax is writing his life story.

The book “I’m the Man” will cover Ian’s beginnings as a self-described “nerdy Jewish boy in Queens” who had his musical epiphany when he saw The Who on TV and KISS in concert.

It will cover his dysfunctional home life and how heavy metal saved him. “I’m the Man” comes out in October.
