Friday’s For Food at Friday’s After Five

Fridays For Food will be held on the first Friday of every month through September.

April 15 / May 6 / June 3 / July 1 / August 5 / September 2
nTelos Wireless and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank are joining forces to engage the community to end hunger locally through a monthly, summertime donation drive.

During Fridays after Five, a community gathering tradition, patrons are asked to stop by the nTelos Wireless & Blue Ridge Area Food Bank booth to donate on the 1st Friday of every month. Throughout the summer, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank will be keeping an on-going tally of all donations collected. Each month, nTelos Wireless will kick start the efforts with a $500 donation. Stand up and make a difference in the community – support the effort to stamp out hunger!

In its 29th season, Fridays After Five, presented by Bud Light, continues to be Charlottesville’s favorite live concert series on the Virginia Credit Union stage.  The first concert will kick off at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion on the Downtown Mall April 15th, from 5:30pm -8:30pm, and each Friday thereafter ending on September 9th.

Each week volunteers work the concessions on behalf of a variety of local non-profits who share in the proceeds, which raises tens of thousands of dollars to support their work in our community. The spring and summer schedule features local artists of myriad musical styles; there is something for everyone! Unwind Friday evenings at this fabulous and FREE Charlottesville institution.

Billy Joel returns to Nationals Park

Legendary Musician Billy Joel will return to Washington, DC to perform at Nationals Park on Saturday, July 30, 2016!

This performance will make Billy Joel the first artist in history to play Nationals Park in a recordsetting third appearance. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, January 29 at 10am at Nationals.com/BillyJoel.

In December 2013, Billy Joel became Madison Square Garden’s first-ever music franchise,
joining the ranks of the storied venue’s other original franchises – the New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty. Since January 2014, Joel has played one show per month at The Garden as part of the Time Warner Cable Concert Series. This unprecedented and wildly successful residency has led to 30 sold-out shows through June 2016.

Having sold 150 million records over the past quarter century, Billy Joel ranks as one of most popular recording artists and respected entertainers in history. The
singer/songwriter/composer is the sixth best-selling recording artist of all time, the third bestselling solo artist and is one of the highest grossing touring artists in the world.
