We posed the question, “What would you do if your favorite athlete came out of the closet?” this morning on the BGB after learning that NBA free agent, Jason Collins, did just that in an article for Sports Illustrated. About 70% of the comments were positive, but we received a lot of answers along the lines of “Who the hell cares, we got bigger problems!”  First off, why is an athlete proclaiming to be gay a problem?

This got me thinking about a solution to our problems. Step-1: Take care of all of your own personal problems. Don’t you think that if each and everyone of us did just that – there would be far less problems in this world? You can get help for just about anything these days. What a wonderful world this would be if we worked on ourselves first! I’m not saying we earthlings will ever be a perfect society, but we sure are quick to judge.
