I kinda fume these days when women complain about chivalry being dead. I honestly don’t know what you call the woman version of chivalry, but to say that ship has sailed is a freakin understatement. Sure, less men feel the need to be the gentleman when it comes to dealing with the opposite sex and that IS a shame. I just think a woman who acts like a lady around her man is even more a rarer thing. It’s kind of a slap back from the feminist movement, I guess. Women had decided their roles in relationships were sexist and oppressive and I totally see that. The only problem is now all those things that a woman used to do for a man are considered old fashioned and taboo. Which is fine except men are still expected to be men of old. Open doors, pay for things, fix broken things, take care of pest control and lift heavy stuff while women just kinda sit there and wallow in it without feeling the need to be women of old because those stereotypes are sexist. I just think if you want things to harken back to the old days then it needs to go both ways cause I honestly get tired of being the gentleman when she never once acts like a lady.
