DUDE! I found this really sweet place to get an awesome Scooter!!! Check 'em out:
Where to begin......I'm not your typical chick. I grew up a tom boy outside of Chicago where I liked playing with the boys more than the girls. I liked guns, football, getting dirty, going fast on my bike and getting into trouble. Thanks to the boys I grew up with, I learned how to rebuild engines, ride a dirt bike and I deveolped my love for Rock music. I really didn't like high school, so I graduated early and went off to college at Northern Illinois University where I generally did whatever I wanted and worked at the college radio station. Somehow, I managed to graduate and my career in radio began. I've lived and worked in all 4 time zones in the lower 48.
I'll be honest.....I haven't made the adjustment from college kid to responsible adult. I mean, I've managed to stay married to the same awesome guy, Ron, for over 10 years, but we don't have kids or life insurance or anything else that our "adult friends" have. We just have each other, few responsiblities and alot of fun on the weekends.
Many people have asked me why I moved to Virginia and I tell them that my Mom is from Portsmouth and since she married my Dad and he made her move away from there to Chicago, she always told him that she wanted to move back to the Commonwealth when they retired and that's what they did. They now reside in Marion and I felt it was time to be close to them after being away from them for over 15 years. Plus, I am working at one of the BEST Rock stations in the nation. I mean that.....believe me, I've worked for most of them.
One other question I get asked is, "If you weren't in radio, what would you be doing"? Easy....if I had the chance, I would be playing free safety for the Chicago Bears. I LOVE football, both college and pro and I'm always looking for a good Texas Hold 'Em No Limit game.
SInce I've traveled and lived all over, I've learned so much from so many different people, but there always seems to be two common ideals that I have run across: care about other people and live today like it's your last.
